Dioctyl Terephthalate,DOTP
DOTP (Dioctyl Terephthalate) is a transparent oily liquid with the molecular formula C24H38O4 and a molecular weight of 390.55. Its relative density at 20/20°C is 0.98, with a freezing point of -48°C and a boiling point of 370°C at 0.8 kPa. The density of the solid form is 1.527 g/cm³. It is insoluble in water but soluble in common organic solvents. DOTP is mainly used to soften polyvinyl chloride products and has advantages such as heat resistance, cold resistance, low volatility, resistance to extraction, softness, and good electrical insulation. It is widely applied in industries such as medical gloves, protective clothing, medical devices, food packaging, cable outer sheaths, children's toys, automotive interiors, paints, coatings, and footwear.
