Diisononyl phthalate features a high molecular weight, low volatility, minimal thermal weight loss, and resistance to hardening after thermal aging, making it suitable for producing artificial leather, wallpapers, and floor coverings. It is resistant to atomization and suitable for producing automotive interiors. It has excellent electrical insulation performance and is suitable for producing insulation materials for wires and cables. In addition, DINP can also be used in the production of waterproof tarpaulins, films, plastic gloves, and as an auxiliary plasticizer for coatings, sealants, and inks. However, it is not recommended to use diisononyl phthalate in the production of infant toys, food contact products, and medical PVC products.
