Diisononyl Phthalate and Its Properties
Diisononyl phthalate (DINP) is a commonly used environmentally friendly plasticizer, mainly used to make plastic products softer and more durable. It is widely used in fields such as wires and cables, toys, and automotive interiors. It’s also an upgraded alternative to traditional plasticizer DOP.
Excellent compatibility and stability: It has excellent compatibility with PVC and will not precipitate even when used in large quantities. Its anti migration and anti extraction properties are superior to DOP, endowing the product with good water resistance and extraction resistance.
Heat resistance, light resistance, and aging resistance: It can significantly improve the light resistance, heat resistance, and aging resistance of plastic products, extending their service life.
Low volatility: Due to its larger molecular weight and longer carbon chain, its volatilization rate is much lower than that of DOP. This not only saves raw material costs, but also improves the operating environment of the factory.
Superior processing performance: Under extrusion processing conditions, DINP can reduce the melt viscosity of the mixture, thereby reducing die pressure, minimizing mechanical wear, and increasing extrusion productivity by up to 21% without the need to change existing formulas or processes.
