Bis(2-propylheptyl) Phthalate
Bis(2-propylheptyl) phthalate, abbreviated as DPHP, has a molecular formula of C28H46O4, with a relative molecular mass of 446.7. It is a colorless, transparent, viscous oily liquid with a slight odor. It is non-toxic, has low volatility, is highly stable, and is soluble in most organic solvents. It has good compatibility with PVC and has a higher plasticization efficiency than DOTP. Its electrical insulation performance is the same as DOTP, but it has the lowest volatility and can withstand higher temperatures, and has the highest safety.
DPHP can be used alone or in combination with other plasticizers, and can also replace DBP, DINP, BBP, etc. as plasticizers. It is widely used in plastic and rubber production and is one of the best plasticizers among the phthalate esters in terms of performance.
As a plasticizer, DPHP can further enhance the performance of PVC and expand its application scope. In the context of the increasing demands for PVC performance and environmental friendliness in the market, the market for DPHP is continuously expanding.
