General-purpose plasticizer Dioctyl Phthalate
Dioctyl phthalate is a colorless or pale yellow transparent liquid with a special odor. It has a boiling point of 386℃ and a relative density of 0.980 to 0.983 (20/4℃). It is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether. It is produced through esterification reaction of phthalic anhydride and 2-ethylhexanol. It is one of the most widely used plasticizers in plastic processing. It has good comprehensive performance, high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, UV resistance, cold resistance, and can improve the softness and electrical properties of products. It is a relatively ideal main plasticizer.
